External CD/DVD Burners. Which one?

I recently bought both the Pioneer DVR-S806SPK ($191 at Buy.com) and the Plextor PX-716 UF ($139 at plextor). Before I open boxes, anyone have an opinion on either ?

Plextor is known for building excellent burners.

Plextor is known for excellent CD burners. They have to play catch up with Pioneer a bit with DVD burners. Both of those are superb units. I'd probably take the Pioneer but I'd be happy with either.

I purchased the Pioneer and have not had one problem or glitch with playing or burning. Excellent unit

Do DVD burners do a good job of burning CD's as well, or is a dedicated CD burner better?
