All:

I spent way more than I originally wanted to on speakers, but tonight, as they come out of the box, I am very glad I did.  I love the smell of new speakers in the morning!  Smells like victory!  haha

Anyhow, I will not be able to do a real review of these b/c they only have 5 hours on them right now, but I will tell you that they are freaking unreal so far!

I spent about an hour on placement, and I really haven't had the desire to move them any further.  This is the best speaker I have ever had in my system bar none.  This is the only ribbon speaker I have ever heard that I could live with.  These ribbons are packed full of emotion, and are not sterile at all.  They have no vertical dispersion issues, and I am way impressed even with only a few hours on them.

I am quite sure the sound will change dramatically over the next few weeks of break-in, and quite frankly, I can't imagine what it will be like.

One thing about these that amazes me is the ability to be full range, and accurate at very low volumes.  I have not heard a speaker that does proportionate bass at low volumes.  It is a very effortless, and seamless sound.

I will shut up now, and I will post a review later. . .  Just had to share.  ;-)

And BTW, if anyone needs Piegas, I have a great dealer near me that is very easy to work with, and way cool on price. . .

Hantra,
I hadn't heard of Piegas before but those are some fine looking speakers!  Glad you enjoy them and hope they see a lot of use.

VERY nice.  Some things are just inherently worth having (like a rolex or a porsche).  I'd put the Piega's in the same category - you may have gone over budget, but you've got something worth owning. . .

Even though it's becoming a dirty word around here, I'd have to say those speakers would make a very interesting visual mate with the eAR amp and preamp.  Then you'd just need a stainless source and you could be super Euro!  Cool speakers Hantra.
