For those who have heard/demoed its products, what do you think? Based on my research, two things seem to really stand-out.

- All of its design philosophies are grounded by sound technical support
- The common observation seems to be the speakers ability to deliver well imaged sound and without any hint of the box

I own a pair of the Europas, been very happy with them, infact, it is the pair of speakers that I have owned the longest, which is pretty good since I've owned dozens! The sound is crystal clear and very musical. Some don't like the appearence, but the wife and I think they look fine. My audiophile friends that have heard them were also pretty impressed, a couple even ordering a pair. If I every get upgadeitis, I will probably look at the Calisto. Obviously there are a ton of great speakers out there and you can pay a ton, but the Europa and the Maggie MMGs are the best speakers I have heard for the money. Well recommended and very satisfied.

"Grounded by sound technical support" and "deliver well imaged sound and without any hint of the box" is right on the money. You should take a look at the GMA site; check out Roy's "Design Concepts" in the download section.

As for my experience with the Callisto, I bought them... BEFORE I heard them. After doing my research, and talking to the GMA team for a few hours, I knew the design concepts were exactly what I was looking for. And I got so much more. To have an idea what qualitiies you'd like your speaker's sound to have is one thing, to actually own a speaker that posesses those qualities is another thing entirely.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I had already read your Audiogon review before I posted here. So, I knew you were a fan. I guess I need to get my hands/ears on some GMA speakers.

One thing when you go: make sure the demo speakers have had at least 200-500 hours of a PROPER GMA BREAK-IN, as described by Roy Johnson. This will show the speakers off in all their glory.
