Opinions on hanging ALL nOrh speakers in HT setup?

I like the idea of having identical speakers all the way around. The 4.0 ceramic deal for $850 looks great. Does anyone know how much it would be to get six instead of five, BTW, for 6.1? Anyway, with a 2-year-old and another on the way, having the speakers on stands is not something I'm hoping to deal with. I think in the past I've seen Tyson post that he prefers the speakers (4.0) to be 15 inches or so above the ground.

So has anybody hung the front three 4.0s? My living room doubles as my HT, and my PJ (Sony 1251) projects above my TV and the top of the screen is only about 18-24" from the 10' ceilings, so they would be way, way up there, and I just don't know how that would affect imaging, et cetera. I just don't think I could use any kind of shelf because the the depth of these speakers, so it seems my only option would be hang them or put them on a stand. Thanks for any input.

I've hung 4.0's for rears, and currently have 9.0's hanging for rears.

I have had great success this way. As long as you aim the speakers towards the listening position they should image great.

I think the 4.0s are fine. In the past I was simply noting that any speaker sounds thinner in the bass the further it gets from room boundaries, so the worst place for bass re-inforcement is halfway between the cieling and the floor. The closer the speaker is to the floor or to the cieling, the stronger it's bass will be
