Help :?:
I am buying new speakers, I have about 5000-6000 to spend and did have a center channel before, but may consider running without one. I had a subwoofer, but do not want one in my next set up. So I need deep bass. I do not have great placement options, max 24 inches from the back wall. I do pull them out so side wall not as big a factor.
I had zingali, beautiful speaker and sound but due to a combination of upgraditis and the zin's were just a little small for my room, time to move on. (zingali speakers for sale on audiogon--hint hint)
My room is 16W 34D 12Tall. I sit 14 feet from speakers. I have SET and Hybrid tube gear, as I was biamping the Zins, will probably just use my 100W Hybrid Space Tech labs balanced amp depending on the speaker
I have bunches of tubes in the system.
I hate these type of questions, because usually I feel like you do, well just go listen and decide from there.Well I live in Northern nevada, and Sacramento is the closet place that has decent gear, and they sell Zingali
So I will probably purchase a new pair without hearing them first
I am intrigued by the reimer grand teton GS, they sound like everything I want, just the WAF gets in the way a little (size not finish) I guess the other option is get the smaller reimer.
Soliloquy--Placement issues?? according to many reviewers they need lots of air around, I do not have it.
Silverline Sonata MKIII- not sure if the bass is there.
would like zu definition but a little too costly
Any other suggestions?
Here at the Audiocircle you guys (and gals?) seem to know
the less known.
Thanks

These are highly regarded and very efficient.

If you don't mind having to spend a little time with set up and   adjustments to midrange and tweeter levels you could purchase a pair of VMPS RM30's for about $3200.00.

Ron, I have a pair of Reimer Teton GS speakers HT version in mahogany and my wife and I love them. She likes the fact that they look pretty and sound good at the same time.  They are 95db efficient and are flat to 20Hz in my roughly 17ft.by 23ft room.  They are wonderful on music and movies.
There is no congestion at high volume or strain when reproducing movie soundtracks and they have wonderful resolution and the delicacy necessary for satisfing reproduction of music. The bass is deep, tight and well defined. There is no boom or overhang. The rear of my speakers are 25in. off the front wall and they are 8ft. apart.  The listening position is 11.5ft away.  The soundstage frequently extends 4 to 5ft. outside the speakers laterally and has no limit on image height but that present in the source material. The depth is very good and would be better if my TV wasn't between the speakers. The speakers will place discrete images above, behind or on either side of you depending on the source material. This is particularly fun when watching
Dolby surround encoded movies on VHS. Full surround effects are present on most movies. Independance Day will have you ducking when the alien fighters fly over or when they shoot at Will Smith in the canyon chase sequence.  You might find that the big Reimers are just what you are looking for.  Scotty
