I've got a Buttkicker bolted to my couch and the 1000W complimentary amp. That is one bad ass motor! I bolted it to an old office chair once and with nobody sitting on it the thing got airborne! Frightening amount of force there. At the scene in FOTR where the Black Riders gallop out I actually heard wood crack in my couch.
I will say that for movies it is somewhat difficult to blend with the subwoofer simply because if the tactile sensation is more aggressive than the actual bass your ears are hearing it is distracting. Your body seems to know that it isn't supposed to FEEL the bass unless it is really loud. What you mount it on is also a big factor. Much room for tweaking with this thing, finding a good resonance. It can make rather ugly noises when upper frequency signals leak into it, I wish the XO was a bit steeper. But overall it is a very cool toy. Much fun could be had if you ran a tone generator into it I bet. I'm sure you could find a good frequency to *ahem* improve your sex life! I mean, talk about a vibrator... sheesh!
