Audio-Magic line conditoners, cables, etc...?
« on: 16 Jun 2005, 01:53 am »
Hi all,

new to this forum... hopefully I am posting in the right section! :)

I am curious to hear from other members of this circle regarding their experiences with Audio-Magic products... www.audio-magic.com In particular the line conditioners and cables.

How did you find out about Audio Magic?

What is your impression of the product line?

Look forward to reading some posts... I understand that Audio-Magic has a nice "underground" following...

Thanks!

Hello Danny,

Welcome to AC!  I had an Audio Magic digital filter in my system up until about 2 yrs. ago and really liked it at the time.  It was then replaced with a BPT 2.0 balanced ac unit, which I found to bring a more natural over all tone to my system as well as more finely detailed acoustic space and imagery.  Of course, my whole system was now being feed clean ac, not just treating the cdp!  Having lived with balanced ac for two yrs. now, I'm totally convinced that it's THE way to go for truely purifying your supply.  That includes all the various balanced power companies, not only BPT.

Now that my system is down to only 2, sometimes 3, units that actually "drink from the tap" even the BPT has been replaced... with the equally wonderful Felicia units, dirt cheap, but sonic silk    Just one person's opinion, of course...

I've used various power products from AM for several years, starting with an Illusion PC, then an 8-outlet digital Stealth (I run an all-digital Tact system) and then an AM Clairvoyant. I've used several other line conditioners, also.

The AM products are exquisitely detaled, dynamic and expansive. When I recently changed speakers to (rather ruthless) ribbon/line arrays, the PCs were replaced with Electraglide Statement REV (also using PCs by Von Gaylord and Wolff for a slightly softer presentation). Amp gets a Foundation Research direct to wall, but the 5 digitals go into the Stealth.

I had thought of replacing the Stealth too, but instead had the latest upgrade applied by Jerry at AM, and I'm glad I did. This now creates (or rather allows) the music to flow seemingly unhindered and without any dynamic loss or compression. Count me impressed.

I've had the Stealth XXX for a couple of months now and am ecstatic with it.  Dead quiet and, as said above, expansive as all get out.  Jerry is also great to work with and gives excellent counsel and service.
