New Exodus Connector Line
« on: 10 Jun 2005, 09:45 pm »
We are introducing a new line of Exodus Connectors.   We are using these connectors in many of our own products.   They offer an excellent price/performance balance and we will be offering OEM pricing for interested parties.

A few pictures to start:

Our New EX-BPSP binding post.   We have both short and long versions.   Price $10.50 short, $11.95 long per pair.

The long version.  Notice the extra thick nut and set-screw.

The EX-BANA is a superb banana connector that won't loosen over time.   Excellent contact strength and it attaches with set-screw and/or soldering.  Price $2.45 each

Expanding version:   $4.45 each

This is our new premium spade.   Cost $3.95 each

Our Economy Spade.   Cost $1.45 each

The Female RCA.  Cost $2.45 each

Yes... the top picture is of the long post for fitting through 3/4" MDF cabinet walls.   I was hoping to have the web development done this week but I'm running behind.    Expect them to arrive on the web site sometime next week.

No problem... take your time.

How would you guys like to be one of my beta testers for the new Well Tempered?

Oh.... finished the web development today.   All the Exodus Connectors are now on the web site.

Hi Kevin,

As in new Well Tempered arm? I remember reading about a new design some months ago but haven't seen anything recently. I recently completed my Teres and would love to try a new arm on it. Now if you're talking about a new Well Tempered table, then I probably won't be much help but if it's an arm, I'm certianly interested.

I'm sorry.... it's the entire shooting match.   We feel pretty strongly that the entire system needs to be engineered to work together in a complimentary way.   The arm floats in a bowl of silicon susended by a couple strings.    It would be a nightmare trying to retrofit it onto other tables anyway.   ;-)

i wonder how it would copmpare w/my oracle, that has been updated to mkv specs, except for the motor, which is o-l dc motor kit; and topped w/a o-l arm.  :)

also, re: the female rca's, are there any configured so the removable nut is on the *outside* of the cabinet/case?  this makes future r&r a lot easier...

regards,

doug s.

Sure Kevin,  I'm more than happy to try out the table.  Both Shaun and I have fairly stable phono capable systems.  With my new phono stage, vinyl has been sounding particularly good recently.  I'll talk to you soon!

Not at this time.  I'm going to expand the lineup over time so maybe down the road.

Hi Kevin,

thanks for the information regarding the speaker binding posts.

do you have a ball park figure for the price of your turntable?  will it be sold as a kit?

Regards

The TT will not be sold as a kit.   We are still under development so I don't know where the final price will fall.   We hope to have something in the $1000-$1500 range.

hello.

the connectors you guys have look very good.i was wondering if you could build a spade connector that is like the wbt that has two set screws that you could crank down on instead of crimping.

wbt makes very nice connectors as well but they are very expansive.

thanks.

Hi Kevin, You show female RCA's, but what about the male side to fit on cables. Or are you working on that project too?

the audio world needs a good reasonably priced male rca. the prices for some of these connectors are shocking and discourage people from the diy route. is help on the way?

Good suggestion.   We might down the road but nothing is in the plans for the next 3-6 months.
