Hi all,

Well, I always take good care of my CDs and always careful when handling them. But of cause sometime accident happends. :(

Sadly there are 1 or 2 CDs that have some scratches that cause some cd player to skp the track.

I've seen some that stores... Memorex, Maxell, Allsop and etc  So, what is the best scratch repair kit out there today?

Take care all,
Buddy :thumb:

I use pledge on dvd's that are so scratched they won't play. Don't know if this will work for cd's though.

an old t-shirt.  Make certain that you rub in the radial direction (away from the center).  You can take most scratches out, even deep ones.  The ones that don't come out are at least polished and seem to not be a problem.

The Disc Doctor (available at Best Buy) is the best I've used.  I like the motorized one, so I don't have to do all that hand winding.

You may be able to use EAC (freeware) to make a perfectly good copy off the damaged CD, depending on how severe the damage is. I've had a couple scratched CDs, and EAC and its error correction produced a perfect copy. Please note that it may take a while for the burn/error correction program to do its thing, depending on your computer system, level of damage, etc.
