Gents, this box appears to be a volume controlled dac/decoder that  I could use with a dvd or cd player with either opitical or cable inputs.  Has anybody heard anything one in play?  For $129.95 it might be fun.

I believe this is just another version of what Klipsch used to sell as the DD-1 Dolby Digital decoder/pre-amp.  Basically, it's a simple pre-amp and all you need would be a multi-channel power amp for you speakers to create a surround sound system.  I heard great things about the Klipsch unit and you may want to do a search at their forum for info.
