For me the first half or more of the movie was pretty boring. It wasn't until towards the end that things started picking up. It wasn't too bad though, and the penguins were pretty funny.

Saw this last week...it was entertaining, but not nearly on par with the likes of Shrek or any of the Pixar films. But I did bring my 3 year old daughter, and while she got scared a couple of times, she sat through the whole thing and really had a lot of fun...

And yeah, the penguins were great!

That's one problem I have with "g" or "pg" movies -- until you (the adult) watch them, you don't know how kids will react. Some movies, like Lion King and Tarzan I believe are way, way too violent for kids. Even movies like Shrek, Monsters Inc., Ice Age, and Finding Nemo have some parts that are scary.
