Hi Bryston family!

I am using a BDP-3 and loving it.
I have a 50-foot ethernet run from my router
to my bdp3.

To help remove any noise along the way, I bought a
Ethernet > fiber optic > back to Ethernet converter.
In this way I was hoping to use a short ethernet connection from the converter to the bdp3.

This conversion setup worked with other streamers - but the BDP3
doesn’t seem to recognize the incoming bitstream - and nothing plays.

Has anyone tried this and had success?
To the Bryston tech crew - any suggestions much appreciated!

Thanks
TJ.

I didn't end up going the route of a fiber optic converter, but I did go through a few routers and switches back when I was tinkering. The LPS on the switches helped.

As far as your technical speed is concerned, are all devices operating on the same speed (gigabit vs 100mbps). I remember some having that issue when they were using fiber optic converter in the mix with audio streamers.

Hey zoom.  Thanks for responding.   I’m uncertain of the speeds.  I will try to dig into this.   Thanks again! TJ
