The Evo Stream comes with 250GB internal SSD. If I read it correctly, the specs page suggests there is a maximum of 4TB capability. Is this correct? Can I replace the 250GB SSD with a 4TB SSD? Can it be done before it ships to me, so I don't end up with an unwanted 250GB SSD?

Must the Evo Stream be connected to the internet to listen to music which is saved onto the internal SSD? If there is no internet (for whatever reason), can I still access and listen to the music saved to the internal SSD?

There are two ports which allow external drives to be connected. Must the Evo Stream be connected to the internet to play music from the external drives, or can the music be played without internet connection?

According the the schematic, the only way to connect the Evo Streamer to a dac is via USB. Is this correct?

It appears the internal memory should not be expanded - page 8
You can connect a 4TB hard drive externally by USB
By doing so, I assume that you can play from the HD and not use Ethernet

Looking at the back of the Evo Streamer, it appears that the only output connection to a DAC is by USB.

I have no first hand experience with this streamer, but suspect if it's like most similar devices it would need to be connected to your LAN in order to control operation via its app. This would be true even if you're only playing local files and not streaming music from a streaming service.

I had read before that the internal memory should be limited to the 250GB. However, while I was reading info on the streamer, I saw this:
"Storage:
SATA SSD: 250GB / 4TB
NVMe SSD: Up to 4TB"

The way it is written, I wondered if there were a way to install a 4TB drive, so that's why I asked about it.

I had noticed the USB connection to DAC in the specs page. I asked my question about other possibilities because I have a tube DAC which lacks USB input. I may need to buy a converter.

If I want the ability to play music from my HD without internet, then I may have to invest in other hardware and/or software in addition to a new streamer.

I'm hoping that Jason will reply with more information.
