Hey Audiophiles I'm Ethan and I need some help. I'm trying to block, absorb, and diffuse sound from my neighbors so I've decided to go all in. MLV on wall, portraits backed with mdf, and full on thick carpet on the wall. I'm in a warehouse so I'm gotta cover this huge wall with different materials in a way thats affordable (which is why it wont all be covered with mlv, I know thats not great, don't need details on that, I'm looking towards the positives). I just got this cabinet that I'll use as a bookshelf. It's totally wood backed, and wood framed with glass panels in the doors and on the sides. For sound diffusion should I take the doors off and cover the side glass panels with wood? The shelves inside are mostly glass & 1 wood shelf. Should I replace the glass shelves with wood shelves? Would these changes improve sound diffusion on that wall or are they not necessary?
Thanks!
Here's the cabinet pic. There's a solid wood storage below with wood doors.
