Rsc 200 center channel response
« on: 16 Nov 2025, 04:07 pm »
Took a measurement with Audyssey.

What is the problem here? Is something out of phase?
Thanks,
Brian

Probably.  Try reversing the leads on the tweeter.

All drivers are still soldered in. Considering the dip at 500 hz as well as the peak at 4khz, both crossover points, I’m not sure which driver to reverse polarity on. Don’t want to de-solder more than necessary. Thanks, Brian

Tyson is right. The tweeter polarity is flipped.

I also designed an upgrade for that model many years ago. Room correction really doesn't work and all of the budget level parts in the signal path are still eating up resolution.

For a real fix, I can send you new parts for it that will correct the amplitude issues and increase resolution and details levels significantly.
