Wendell just sent me this, I believe it's 11/14 - 16 outside of Washington, DC

My wife, Galina, and I are going to CAF (at our expense) for the express purpose of introducing you to another company launching a new dipole subwoofer.  There are too few companies offering dipole woofers for panel speakers. Now, consumers have more choices.

Ex Machina is launching the "Mira" dipole subwoofer which you can also hear at the Danville Signal room (702). You can't miss us. Galina and I will be wearing our bright orange "We love Magnepan" T-shirts. We invite you to check out the "Mira" dipole subwoofer in the Danville room. The design is very impressive.

Of course, we also want you to check out what Al Clark and Danville are showing this year at CAF.

Whether it is our PlanarBASS dipole woofer or a "competitor", "Dipole with a Dipole™" is a better choice for panel speakers.

The Danville room also had open baffle woofers - Ex Machina Mira. These woofers have very long throws and very low distortion.  They are essentially flat from 30 Hz to 1000 Hz
We crossed them at 150 Hz. The outer woofers were just show and tell, only the two center woofers were powered.

Don's VPE woofers, ExMachina's Mira and Wendell's PlanarBass are all excellent choices with planars, because they have similar radiation patterns to the Maggies. In our room, I don't think anyone could here the transition from the woofer to Maggie panel.
