Oppo 105 Music Technology Upgrade (Mod)

I came across an Oppo 105 MT modification, but the Balanced outs were removed. Are they all unbalanced only or was this a choice, or an option for RCS or XLR?

Stock 105's and 105D's came with 1 pair each of RCA and XLR outputs, so I would guess that the XLR's have been removed
