for example: Having set up the Vision SLR preamp, and DVA SET 500 and listened carefully for a few days now I can say without hesitation it's the best sounding gear I've ever owned and I've owned enough systems that I can't remember them all without writing it down. The sound is High End in it's overall character with the detail and articulation which is something along the lines of you know it when you hear it

I have NEVER heard a bad word about Frank Van Alstine, his products or company.  The T10-RB preamp is the only piece of AVA gear that I have, and it performs spectacularly, especially considering the modest price.

So please add me to the list of people saying nice things about AVA.

I have had the M225 amplifiers in my system for two months now. These components are my 4th new equipment purchases from AVA over the years. As with every purchase before I am quite pleased with the experience with dealing with the AVA staff and very pleased with the performance of the equipment purchased.

I have the M225 amps tucked away behind the speakers. I can now run balanced input/output all the way from source, to linestage, to amplification. I appreciate the compact size and the efficiency provided by the M225. The performance is as described by many who have posted or reviewed these amps- outstanding!!

Many thanks to the AVA crew and also to those who support them, as I do.

Just like the review in OP’s post, I also heard of AVA from Steve Guttenberg when mentioning AVA had good power amps in the $1,000-$2,000 price range.

Bought the NP1 around the time it came out last year and it was a big step up from my restored SAE 2200 amp. Since then, I’ve purchased the Fet Valve CFR and it is simply amazing. Sounds so good whether listening to music, watching movies, or playing video games.

There's also a slightly more detailed user review on the same two products at AudioShark in the Preamp and also Amp forums.
