I was informed by the previous possessor who had it for barely one week...stated that this unit is the YouTube video review unit he purchased directly from reviewer Steve Huff of 'Huff HiFi', of whom he is a friendly acquaintance/disciple. I have not personally verified this with Huff but this possessor exudes the utmost in sincerity and trustworthiness. This one-week second possessor upgraded to an A8 because, and I quote..."I needed the HDMI earc to have the cec on/off function is the main reason I had to sell the A6 which doesn't offer this and the A8 does provide that function" This requirement is something that I would not need in my current set-up....
So moving onward, this unit performs wonderfully, not a hiccup to have occurred. My Roon core found it instantly and it was nirvana enjoying its functionality and intriguingly easy learning curve. It truly is an industry marvel, kool to gaze at, fun to play with and sounds excellent. From my experience with this A6++, I got another 'The Itch' and scratched it till I bled more coinage... making an upgrade to a more expensive renderer only, a Bricasti M5, which makes the A6++ somewhat redundant...
