Genre: Jazz

Label: Sheffield Lab
Catalog ID: Lab-5
Condition: NM/VG++ to NM

This is a LIMITED EDITION 1976 DIRECT-TO-DISC record on Sheffield Lab SL19-SL20 titled Discovered Again! by Dave Grusin pressed in Germany. VERY RARE ITEM! Long out of print!!

This remarkable direct-to-disc (see *** below) recording has remained for over a quarter of a century, the subject of discussion and analysis by audiophiles around the world, a true `reference recording' in terms of music and engineering alike.

Condition:

Fold open cover is NM and the vinyl is VG+++ to NM (visually graded). Side 1 is VG+++ (would be NM if not a small scratch on the 3d track). Side 2 is M-. Due to this record’s dynamics, some surface noise will invariably be audible. TAS list. This record shows very little sign of play.

Paypal is OK, just add 4%.

----------------------------------------------------------------
*** Sheffield Labs represented the pinnacle of direct-to-disc recordings. A direct disc recording is a truly live performance, sent directly to a cutting lathe, whereby an entire side is recorded at one time: (any mistakes, and the entire disc had to be discarded). There is no overdubbing, are no edits, and no punched-in phrases. The Sheffield Labs LPs have been regarded by many as the best quality vinyl recordings ever produced.
