I am a real fan of the KEF Reference 103mk1. It's a really interesting medium sized two-way with Kef's High power B200 mid bass driver in concert with its TS15 tweeter. When you first attach it you can hear that it isn't ordinary and has incredible potential. It was released in the late 70s and combines a birch ply cabinet laminated with bituminous pads and lined with foam. Falcon acoustics can supply AlCAP 100V LL NP bipolar capacitor kits and or you can try to hunt down Jensen and Mundorf smooth foil Bipolar capacitors. A lot of these are out of production and difficult to obtain in the values and Voltages. The Hunt is inevitably long and somehow expensive. I now have a great pair of rebuilt crossovers and upgraded internal wiring. My new discovery is WEET who make superb capacitors for crossovers and now have a line of Bipolar Smooth Foil capacitors. The improvements To images (wider, deeper, taller), Flow (dynamics are fluid, supple and relay musician intention. timing and technique), separation (the mix is revealed and contributions from each musician is given its own space), The speakers can really breathe. I hope WEET can expand their range and establish a dealer base to let us revamp old crossover circuits
