I am interested in hearing a pair of HT-3. If there is an owner in Toronto or near willing to audition them for me, I would appreciate that. I understand I cannot buy them (unless owner is also interested in selling), but I been very curious to hear them with my own ears since I owned the HT2-TL for over the a decade.

I would also offer to audition my HT2-TL and Salk BMR Towers (Philharmonic design with Salk's custom cabinet) in exchange.

EDIT: I edited the topic to include all Salk speakers. If there are any Salk owners in Toronto willing to audition their speakers, I would be interested in hearing them. My offer to audition my Salk speakers is also open to any Salk owners interested in hearing them.

I have owned both HT-2 and HT-3 speakers and have listened to them side by side with the same electronics. They are voiced almost exactly the same except the HT-3's go lower with more punch, have a little bit more detail in the lower mid and have a slight warmth in male vocals that is really hard to explain. The HT-2's actually give a bigger image with more vertical space.

Thanks for that. Your basic description of voice the same but deeper is what I what have predicted.

I am changing the topic to include any Salk owners in Toronto area. I figure if there are Salk speakers near me and the owners are willing, why not hear them all?
