I have an audio problem. And it is the most delightful audio problem I have ever had.
The problem: the music in my office system sounds FANTASTIC! It is goose-bumping, toe-tapping, baby-making fantastic. So much so, I am having a hard time getting any work done. In fact, the music in my office system now sounds better than the HT system in my LR, or in the 2-channel system in the dedicated audio room I just finished renovating. And I really don't know why.
I posted some details of my office system to my profile. I'll try to update my profile with details of my other systems as well. I am very interested in the question:
What did I do right?
I have some good equipment in my office system, but what really set it over the top was when I changed the output on the CD player player from a coax digital cable to a Wireworld Superova 7 optical cable. The sound now sparkles. No matter what CD I play. I did some experimenting: moved the NuPrime amp to my main listening room, and later moved the Gallo Strada II speakers there as well. Tried the SuperNova 7 in that set up (with an Oppo BDP-93 player), also a DH Labs D750 coax cable. Could not discern a a difference. I moved everything back into me office, and then compared the SuperNova 7 against the DH Labs D750. The SuperNova just sparkles. There is something magical happening.
It could be case of system synergy, or maybe the optical cable is isolating all the noise in my office equipment. Love to hear your comments.
P.S. Not complaining in any way, shape, or form. If anything, I want to share the magic and mystery of the love of music.
