Vision Q+ Phono Preamplifier on New Rack
« on: Yesterday at 04:17 pm »
One of my kids took pity on me, bought a second hand oak cabinet ($13), and with a can of spray paint later, am showing off my NoS Analog Rack...note the record storage area below... Maybe I will line it with plasticine...but probably not...

That looks really nice!
What is the small AVA box on top?

I love the silver faceplates.  Mine are black but the sound is glorious!

What kind of cartridge are you using? the adjustable load resistance settings are really helpful to get the best sound from your records

I am using a Goldring 1042 magnetic cartridge on this rig and a Longhorn Grado (Wayner's) on my old Rega Planar 2.. Really pulls in the music. The Vision Q+ is highly adaptable as you mentioned. And the combination sounds great. Doesn't leave me wishing for much more.
