Hi from London.
I’ve spent several years and far too much money getting to my present system (Electrostatic speakers, valve amps). I listen to mostly classical music and traditional jazz and want to get as close as possible to the real sound. This depends as much on the recording venue and technique as anything else and despite owning several thousand CDs and SACDs (for me  still the best source!), I have only about a dozen that are really good. I’d be really grateful for recommendations from other members.

Cheers & Welcome to AC   :thumb:  Most anything from the ECM label is of the highest quality recording dating from the 70's to today. Vinyl or CD, hard to beat his offerings, though as to being classic jazz would depend on your time frame.  8)

Any direct to disc classical recordings, Charlie Byrd direct to disc.
Andres Nelson’s and BSO Shostakovich series are excellent sounding on CD.
Happy listening.
