I am selling my much-loved Salk Sound Veracity HT2-TL speakers. I bought these new from Jim Salk and they have been used solely in a nonsmoking household. They are finished in a curly cherry veneer that is dyed a deep rose-red. They are truly beautiful. I am selling them because in my senior years I need to downsize.
The speakers are in great shape with only a few very small nicks on the front bottom just above the plinths and some small marks on the back of the plinths (I assume the undersides of the plinths also may have some scratches). These marks are only visible upon extremely close inspection. See the last two photos attached.
The speakers use a RAAL ribbon tweeter and two 7” Seas Excel woofers. The Salks deliver a clear, airy and extended top end, an accurate midrange, and a deep, musical base down to 34 Hz. They image very well and create a big soundstage. At 88 dB efficiency, they are relatively easy to drive.
At my request, Jim put a second set of magnets inside the back of the cabinets so that the grills can be easily stored there if you prefer to listen without the grills on. Jim also upgraded the crossovers to Clarity caps ($500).To make placement more flexible, he made the speakers front-ported.
Asking $2400; prefer payment by PayPal F&F or Paypal (+3.2% Paypal fee). I have priced these speakers at a low price because I will not be able to ship them. They are available for local pickup in Asheville, or I am willing to drive a couple of hours to deliver them to you or meet you at a halfway point.
The speakers come with the original grills, jumpers and spikes/metal protectors (which have never been used). I’d love to sell these speakers to a fellow ACer.
