samsung av-r3000 vs. Outlaw 990

I have three days left on Outlaws 5 day window to purchase their new 990 pre/pro at $1100.
http://www.gspr.com/outlaw/990_features.html

I have been reading alot about B&O's Icepower and I am intiqued with Samsung Av-r3000 as it uses 7 icepower modules for it's amplification.  http://www.bluefi.co.uk/news/samsung_avr3000_av_receiver.html

The street price on this is $3700.  It's even supposed to have digital room correction.  Outlaw has digital bass mangement with selectable sub lowpass and speaker highpass frequency and slope.  If it were you, would you buy the Outlaw 990, sell 950 and 770 combo and buy Av-r3000 or wait for AV-r3000 or something like it to hit the market and buy it used a year later?

This is strictly HT and ambiance music for dinner and cooking as I do dedicated music listening eleswhere.

what struck me about ICEPower modules from reading the 6moons review of the H20 amp ("Not all ICEpower amps are created equal") was that they are tweakable by manufacturers who use them; never heard one and I suppose the base sound is sufficiently good but... not having seen any reviews of the Samsung or the opportunity to hear one for myself I would find it hard to drop nearly 4K on it. If you could hear one for yourself and love the sound then that would be different. Do you not like the Outlaw combo?

I have no problem with the 950/770 combo for HT.  I am just trying to decide if I want to get the 990 ($1100) during the 5 day reserved time slot.  I know it's part marketing ploy and good value and I am susceptible to good marketing. I may just sit on it since HT is not a high priority for me as I mostly watch sports and children's stuff.

I know where you are coming from, right now the 'theatre' is mostly this fun stuff for my 17 month old little one!

Funny you should mention Dragon Tales.....

My Tivo records Clifford, JJ and Dragon Tales so my 2 year old girl can watch them at more convenient times (reward for going potty at the moment).  I try not to get carried away with Wiggles -- I only have 2 DVD's.........

I would wait.  This ICE stuff is all up in the air.  I am wanting to read what others hear of the upcoming Odyssey amps.  Buy used, esp for something like HT which is not high on your priority list.
