Stradi Tubes Manufactured in S. Korea
« on: 4 Jun 2025, 05:19 am »
I came across to a reference to Stradi tubes from South Korea, and wondered if anyone here owns any or has heard them?

A quad of 300b tubes is $3000USD, so they're not inexpensive by any means. For that price, I think I'd want to try a quad of Takatsuki 300b tubes <assuming I'd spend that much for a quad>.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

I think if you head over to China, you'll find there are plenty of audiophools willing to spend huge sums of money on audio gear. It's not just the N. American market.

There's a thread on the Stradi tubes on WBF.
Been waiting for the 45s to come out and now thinking I might try a pair.

Why does a pair cost more than two singles?

Why does a pair cost more than two singles?

The extra effort required for matching pairs and quads.  If you have monoblocks running a single 300B, generally there is no need for close matching.

Most likely they are a matched pair.

Because of these premium prices and low performance that woman despise audio equipment. Russian Military surplus GU50 cost $5, 6C33 Ulianov $20, my 300B NGG cost me $90/each.
