This is a 2003 AVA OmegaStar power amp by the legendary Frank Van Alstine. It is a 125wpc. You can read more about it in the last two pix I've included which is the documentation included with the amp.
History: I purchased it directly from AVA in Nov of 2022 for $750. It was a trade in for them. Their policy is to do a full inspection and offer a 1 year warranty on used gear. I had developed a light hum and sent it back to them in Nov 2023 under warranty and they replaced both the left and right channel resistors. I've had no issues with it since its return.
Condition: Given the age, it is in really good shape. But there are a few things to note. The front panel does have some pitting. I never even noticed it until I inspected it for this sale with a flashlight. Hard to see without bright light. See pix. There is two small paint chips on the right side panel, so cannot see from the front. I have pix of this. There are a few other small scuffs here and there but I don't see scratches. None of this is damage caused by me. It's been well care for by me in my audio rack. I recently moved to a tube amp so letting this go.
Here's a chance to own a wonderful amp and a great price by the recently deceased Frank Van Alstine. Rest in peace Frank. I conversed with Frank when I bought this and he felt it would have just as good performance as amps he makes today. It sounds wonderful.
