I've been steadily using our Degritter Mark II to clean our vinyl collection. I have a number of classical multi-album sets that were passed down by relatives, some great pressings. Alas, some of the related multi-album boxes are past remediation (I've tried, believe me). I have generic single album covers to replace severely damaged single album covers; however, as of yet I'm unable to source replacement multi-album set boxes. I note that some of the boxes house 3,4, and even 18 LPs. Sizing is approx. 12.5"H x 12.5"D, varying widths.
Internet searches to this point have not been helpful. I've considering going to estate / yard sales simply to try to acquire the boxes of non-related multi-album box sets to repurpose the boxes.
Short of the former or trying to construct our own boxes, what are other listeners using when their respective multi-album set box cannot be resuscitated? In advance, my appreciation for all relevant / helpful replies. FYI - most magazine storage boxes are tall enough, but not deep enough.
This one was an exception re: height (open top) / depth (open front); however, the album contents still wouldn't be boxed. And
this product is only available in Germany - they don't ship. Then there's
this product which is a mailer; even though I might be able to hack it to make it feasible, it's less than optimal albeit you can vary the width from 0.5" to 1".
