Another of the classic age of rock has passed, Jesse Colin Young. His music, both with the Youngbloods, and his solo albums was always exceptional. Your music will live on Jesse, thanks for the pleasure it's brought over the years.

And at the end of February David Johanson of the New York Dolls passed. Didn't know any of their work, but did enjoy some of his solo releases as Buster Poindexter. His role as The Ghost of Christmas Past in Scrooged was a riot. Thanks for the laughs.

Condolences to their family and friends. May you both Rest In Peace, and keep on rockin' where your spirits now reside.

RIP.  Jesse played at a little club (https://www.unionstagepresents.com/jammin-java/) when I lived in Northern VA in April 2006

Sad; I was a big Youngbloods fan and saw them at the Fillmore East decades ago.

And yes, Johanson was hilarious in Scrooged.

RIP

Ridgetop (Jesse Colin Young) is one of my all time top-10 favorites.  Its a song about living on Mount Tamalpais in Marin County (just north of the Golden Gate Bridge), it is a great music score and has beautiful lyrics that describe his feelings about where he lived.
