I noticed Bryston DAC's and streamers do not have a polarity switch and I wonder why. I have a DAC that does allow you to switch polarity and it does make a difference for a lot of recordings.

Im assuming your DAC is upper tier. Maybe lower tier DAC'S don't offer it because of cost. I agree,my DAC has  a phase button and I use it on occasion.

I was reading through the manuals and the only one I found so far, the BP-26 having the ability to invert phase, which other components have this ability?

Hi wplash - the BP-19 and the BR-20 - because it is software will probably add to the Bi-200.

Folks one point about the polarity switch.
When a recording is made depending on the number of amplification stages in the chain the signal can be in Absolute phase or Inverted.
Most popular recordings use multiple mics and amplification chains so unless the recording engineer is paying close attention to the number of amp stages most recordings will have some instruments in absolute polarity and others not.

I have a DAC that allows me to invert polarity  and I find every other recording I play benefits from that option .
