Question on Precision Port on X-LS Encores ............

I am getting a pair of X-LS Encores built with the Precision Port upgrade on them. My question is:
Does this change the optimal distance from the back wall vs. the standard port that comes with the X-LS Encore kit?

It does not change the impact of the wall.

This speaker is also designed to image super well, and the more you can get them out and away from the wall the more they will reward you.
