I replaced all the drivers in my STIII's (even the passives) with the upgrades from Brian when has was alive,but I don't remember why I didn't replace the  upper 10's?? It looks like all the replacements drivers I installed may have been in the newer VMPS speakers of the time as I did this upgrade probably 20 years ago. Anybody have the specs on the upper 10's that would coincide with the carbon fiber drivers in the later models? I would like to complete these speakers-or maybe I already have?? Any help would be much appreciated.. Rich

You definitely have a lot of the newer drivers, except the 10-inch woofers and your JVC super Tweeter. Tweeter. But the picture is not good enough resolution to get a good look at them. Perhaps you can take a higher resolution picture in 4k or just a close-up picture of the 10-inch drivers. As well, if you haven't refund the focal t120 tweeters, take a good look at the surrounds of each one of them and you'll probably see them starting to shrink or separate

The tweeters were replaced with the Morels that Brian recommended as an upgrade when I did all the other drivers except the upper 10's. You are correct though, I still have the original supertweeters in these. Here is a close up of the 10's...

I picked up a pair of these,not sure what they came out of-I can't seem to cross reference the model numbers of the driver with an old VMPS speaker system,hopefully the originals are 8 ohms also when I pull them out and swap them for these...

Well,I installed those woofers and they are in fact 8 ohm drivers. They sound fine and now all have rubber surrounds and should last for a while.I will keep the originals for backups.

Cool. Keep the legacy alive.
I also switch the left and right speakers like you have to. Meaning the original design idea was to have the line array of mid-ranges and tweeters beyond the inside. But my listening position makes it that if I do that the drivers we blocked by my big TV as well. So I also have them on the outside.
