I hear no hum or hiss even with my ears right up to the tweeter on my x5s using the Hifi rose RA 280 which is high powered.  Even engaging the tone controls and increasing the volume I don't hear anything from the speakers up close.  That was a concern of mine also when I purchased this amp that due to the high sensitivity of the x5s and high power of the HiFI Rose I would maybe get some type of hiss or hum from the speakers up close but thankfully I do not.
Even my phono stage which is an IFI phono black is very quiet up close although I do hear a slight hiss if I increase the volume but I have to raise the volume quite a bit.

What’s the gain on the amp section ?

I see a screen that says 24 db and it can be adjusted, I believe that is the gain but not positive.  There is an app I connect via my network internet and on one of the screens it states 24 db and there is a slider that I can adjust higher or lower.  I haven't changed that.  There is also a maximum db slider and that is set at default at 44 db but that can be lowered as well.  My volume knob for loud listening levels around 85 db or so is only around the 9 oclock position but fortunately the remote volume control moves in very small increments so I still have good control on the volume.
