There are a lot of great preamps for $2000 and up….but not so many below $1000.  The Schiit Kara happens to be one of them.  I think it’s because their target was the Benchmark LA4 with super low distortion, no added sound signature and very good behavior (no clicks, pops, etc.)  No doubt, this why they opted for a relay volume control and balanced input and output (2 balanced inputs, 3 rca inputs, one balanced output, 2 rca outputs, 3 gain settings)

I’m selling because I’m going to try further “simplifying” my system this year with an integrated amp.

I’m asking $550  PPF&F delivered to the 48.  The unit is one year old and in perfect condition. It’s beautifully made, great tone, dead silent, massive sound stage, detailed top to bottom without harshness, and images perfectly.

I have it listed on USAM so you can contact me through them or Audio Circle.

Also, please note, the preamp I’m selling is the standard Schiit Kara with the handheld aluminum remote control. Schiit also offers it as the “F” version (Forkbeard) with an app based remote control for $50 more.  The silver version adds another $50 over the black pricing.

Thanks for looking.
