Well, after buying this TT setup over the weekend: Rega 25/RB600/Rega Super Elys,
I've been looking for a cheap and fun phono preamp which might mate well with my new TT setup until I can afford something better.

Then... today, I came upon this oldie, but goodie?  :o
Moscode Super IT phono preamp. Supposedly, it is a pretty good match for MM carts and uses TUBES in its' output stage??? Since I love to tube roll, this inexpensive preamp seemed like it could be alot of fun while I save up some money for a better phono preamp.

So... did I waste my $120?

Anyone have one of these units or have had one of these units??? If so, with what TT/cart did you mate it with?

Thanks for your opinions and help!

It would sell on Agon for $100 again so if it doesnt work, you're out $20 plus shipping.  I'd give it a whirl.  In fact, for that price it would be a good back-up pieces as you maybe search for a reference quality pre-amp over the next year(s).  Let us know how it sounds.  You are going BACK to vinyl right?  This isnt your first vinyl (audiophile) rig, or is it?

Nope. Previously I had a Pro-Ject Perspective/Blue Pt Special and Monolithic+PS Vinyl setup... and I am wanting to get back into vinyl now that the taxman is paid. :)

You made a great purchase, the SuperIT is a classic. Ths unit can be upgraded by George Kay, original designer, for ~$250 to give 72dB of gain, and compete with much more expensive units.

More info here on modifications/updates: http://dandt2.home.mindspring.com/geokaye_audio/super_it.htm

P.S. - If you don't want it, I'll take it off your hands!
