Howdy/Namaste from India
« on: 3 Dec 2024, 05:32 am »
Hey gang.
I'm an American fellow living in India, Roasting Coffee, while 'watching the wheels go round and round' (I also do a lot of motorcycling in the area).
I've started to get the itch again for some good tunes though, and that's how I've bumped into Danny and this forum, in which I'm in the pursuit of a Really Good system (champagne) whilst on a beer budget.
So I guess that it goes w/o saying that I'll be the guy asking some questions pretty soon...
Cheers, and all the best, to all,
Bob

Hiya.
Best, ya that's always a loaded question, but when dealing with coffee flavor profiles even trickier!
We've been working directly with the State of Nagaland and helping them while they get their fledgling coffee growing industry off the ground and flying.  Since it is all grown in virgin jungle it's organic, for one, but also has some Very Nice regions producing outstanding crops.  Look for this Region in the coming years, and particularly coffees from Kohima and Mon/Chinmoho.  But we're still discovering some sleepers there so...
Other than the NE Regions, I have cupped some very nice coffees from Tamil Nadu, however I cannot make any specific recommendations as our company has focused on B2B sales, and while we procure and sell 'specialty coffee', That high end Retail market, and where I'd normally be focus towards, isn't what I work with now.  So, sorry that I cannot really pinpoint anything for you in particular.
Do you roast at home, or would you be buying roasted coffee?
