PRICE CHANGE: $500--Come and Get it!
My original thinking was $200/item, more or less; now I'm begging for offers!
Two modified Dynaco ST-70s and a custom tube pre-amp, designed and built by Kevin Kennedy. The amps feature a front-end board designed by Kevin utilizing 12AX7s, and each amp is set up with one channel in triode mode and the other in ultra-linear mode, to bi-amplify ACI subs and satellites listed in the speakers for sale section on this site. One amp is fully functional, but the other won't bias and has a hum that increases as the pots are turned up, suggesting a power supply issue. It does not produce any sound. The pre-amp still sounds excellent, however, it too has developed a hum emanating from the unit, also suggesting a power supply issue. The whole kit is for sale for $1000 and is available for pick-up in the New Hampshire seacoast area. This was a very good sounding system and it could be again. I hope someone wants to take on a rewarding project. Eventually, the components may be for sale separately. The Dynaco chassis, covers, and transformers have value, and the speaker cabinets are in excellent condition. More pictures are available and I will consider offers.
