Hi, I'm Chuck Cooperman, a retired electronics engineer who also has an ear for music. I played trumpet and keyboards through my school years. I worked for many years designing electronic equipment for oceanographic sonar systems, primarily analog front-ends for high-resolution low-noise systems, and worked closely with acoustic scientists. I became proficient at circuit simulation and PCB layout.
I'm old enough to remember when tubes were still in regular use and lately I've been designing and building push-pull audio power amplifiers, mostly with EL84's. My latest build was largely based on the Electro-Voice A15 Circlotron amp, and I am very pleased at how it turned out.
