For sale are the smaller version of the final production versions of Don Sachs 300b monos, which I have owned for about year and are in perfect condition. They fit side by side in a 19" rack. Spatial Audio is building these amps for Don these days and their tech recently added the final upgrades to my amps, which included making the 6SN7 tubes IT coupled by replacing the bypass electrolytics with quality film caps, adding in quality film caps as Ultra Path caps, as well as replacing existing wire with OCC VH Audio copper wire. They are perhaps 80%-90% of the sonic excellence of the full-scale monos that Spatial is selling for $20K. The amps can be connected with either RCA or XLR interconnects.
They produce 27 wpc which actually sounds like 80 wpc. They drove my Dyaudio C1 Contours very nicely and match splendidly with my Cube Audio Jazzon speakers. They have the stock Linlai 300b tubes. I am selling them in anticipation of relocating to Europe after the fall elections.
I reported my listening experience on an Audiogon thread in which the co-designers, Don and Lynn Olson, responded to extensively about the unique design philosophy involved in creating these amplifiers.
