Hi Mag  :D

"A Passage To Bangkok" would certainly find it's way into my top 20 list. Noticed you added "Losing It" to your list - always believed that this tune was a true sleeper and never received the attention it deserved.

As a Canuck - awesome topic Mag :thumb:

Be well...

I know Tom Sawyer and YYZ are popular Rush songs but they have never done it for me. Freewill should be on the list but I would be referring to Exit Stage Left dvd not the cd version which IMO is a bad recording of this concert, which I think was because it was very bass heavy and did not transfer well to cd.
Being an audiophile I'm very particular to song versions, 2112 for example I only like All the World Stage version. I was at a Rush concert if I recall correct '77 and they played this song and to my memory it sounded like All the World Stage concert only cranked. Who knows, that concert may actually have been recorded in Saskatoon's Old Barn, but they say it was done in Toronto, if you want to believe that. :nono:

There should be room somewhere on that list for "Subdivisions" off "Signals", "The Spirit Of Radio" off "Permanent Waves" and "La Villa Strangiato" off "Hemispheres".

Great thread.  I’d have to give it some serious thought but +1 on “Passage to Bangkok” and I would include “Tom Sawyer” if for no other reasons than “2112” and “Moving Pictures” representing seminal times in my life.

The thing about 'Subdivisions' is back in the day when I was ripping recordings. When I played back Subdivisons, there was this tearing sound, which I reasoned was from a bad codec. Turns out it was in the music, probably a synth, which I can clearly hear with my earbuds.

Sorry, I don't like Spirit of Radio. La Villa Strangiato, agree is a great song, Just something about it, I could not put in my top 20. Maybe it should replace Big Money. Monkey Business I actually prefer a download I have, don't know which album it's from.

"The Main Monkey Business" is song #6 off 2007 "Snakes & Arrows".

YYZ needs to be on that list!  (Although you could say that it is technically not a "song", but an instrumental.)

The studio version of "Working Man" also deserves consideration.
