The EX500 combo itself looks to be made up of one or two year old components. Does anyone know anything about the Motorola processor in the receiver?

Anyway, for a mere $50 over the cost of an F10, you get the 563A player. Interestingly, note in the receiver specs where MCACC and a mike are included in the package.

Now, we need one of you JVC or Panny owners to buy this and tell us how they compare.
