Need an inexpensive (cheap) CD player for my niece

She's going away to college, does not need to be an heirloom or piece of audio history.
BTW, she has my old Dual 701 and a nice Yamaha receiver with a pair of Pioneer SP-BS22A-LR speakers.

You could always use an old DVD or BluRay player as a CD player

I always go to Goodwill/thrift shops. Usually about $5-10. They'll let you return it within 24 hours if it doesn't work.

I have a Yamaha CD303 player. It plays CDs and it has a USB port so you can plug in a USB stick loaded with audio files (wave, FLAC, mp3 etc.). $100 plus actual shipping.
I have heard from from someone other than the OP who is interested in buying the CD303.
