Newbie Intro
« on: 18 Jul 2024, 05:12 pm »
Hello all, new guy here...  I joined because I am getting back into home audio after years of not paying too much attention to it.  I currently have a couple projects that have been gathering dust and I am trying to get back to them.  I have a pair of Mirage M3si and a pair of Speakerlab 7s, which I just picked up from the original owner who bought them in 1975.  I also have Axiom home theater (7.1) speakers and later models of Onkyo and Marantz HT receivers.  I thought this would be a great resource as I work on building a decent 2 channel vintage setup.  I am located in Washington and in a previous life spent 10 years installing high end car audio (back in its hey day).  Feel free to reach out...   Kevyn

Welcome to the Audio Circle - it's a friendly group and you'll find lots of interesting views from a wide variety of folks with a very wide variety of equipment and music interests. It's good to get back to something you always enjoyed after a period away, so good luck rebuilding a satisfying system!

Welcome to the club, Kevyn. Vintage setups are quite fun to build and often still very good sounding. Here you will find a good mix of new gear and vintage enthusiasts and a whole bunch of encouragement to go down the rabbit hole of audio gear adventures.

Just curious, what part of the state are you in? I know a few of us are all scattered around every corner. I'm down in Vancouver myself.

Thanks for the warm welcome!  Born and raised in Edmonds, then Woodinville for 30+ years and recently moved to Cle Elum.  I am looking forward to getting back into game...
