i'm contemplating selling my prism orpheus. this is a pro-audio preamp + dac. it takes firewire input from a mac running the prism orpheus applet. the unit is in pristine condition, no marks or scratches, and performs flawlessly. i will regret parting with it, but i just have too much gear and must start selling off certain components.
since it requires a particular generation of mac, both firewire capable and running an OS which supports the orpheus applet, i am also considering selling the mac mini and the necessary cabling along with the orpheus. i will include both the manual and original shipping box, and the (very rare!) apple thunderbolt-to-firewire adapter in case you plan to control the orpheus using a mac with thunderbolt and no firewire output.
i invite those of you who are seriously interested to contact me to discuss the details. meanwhile, you can google "prism orpheus" and read the reviews. i think it is a seriously great piece of hardware.

note added: the orpheus can be used WITHOUT the mac mini and firewire connection, as a standalone preamp/dac. it is currently set up to do that. digital and analogue input and ouput options are shown here, in the page on the rear panel under "hardware".
