Keeping the signal simple makes so much sense. I remember testing guitars with tube amps and effects pedals. The more stuff I added to the signal line the more noise there was. When I plugged directly into a good small tube amp and turned it up the sound was clear, strong, and full of sweet tones. I appreciate the guidance about getting back to basics and preserving the original sound. It really does make sense.
