Introduction

Amabeetle here. I’m really excited about a couple of projects I have started using GR Research stuff. Hopefully I can share the fruit of this passion with family and friends. I know once I have my new listening space completed I can let the sound do the explaining for me.
I’m a former gigging musician who has gotten old, but my critical ear is more important to me than ever since I retired and have time to exercise it.
It will be great to soak up knowledge from you experts so the hobby can continue to grow!

One of the things I’d like advice about is wiring connectors on my speaker upgrade.
I have Wharfedale 4.4 and am upgrading cross-over and wiring. Is there any advantage while installing connectors to maintain bi-amp ability? Or should I eliminate that feature and have one set of connectors?

Hi, I dont like Bi-amp capability (too much connectors).
But audio magazines say it improves the sound. LOL

Nice speakers, my son has the same pair.  IMHO, I would skip the biamping. Too much trouble.  I abide by the "KISS" doctrine.  Keep It Simple Stupid.  I think most here would agree.

Looks great. I had post before about the importance of simple equipments, without improvements of dubious merit such as cross-overs or a dozen output transistors, but it was not welcomed. lol

Keeping the signal simple makes so much sense.  I remember testing guitars with tube amps and effects pedals. The more stuff I added to the signal line the more noise there was. When I plugged directly into a good small tube amp and turned it up the sound was clear, strong, and full of sweet tones.  I appreciate the guidance about getting back to basics and preserving the original sound. It really does make sense.
