Importance of DAC Vibration Isolation

Interesting 20-second video measuring the effect of vibration on the output of a clock chip (oscillator):

Unfortunately, the more of their technical videos I watch, the more it seems that every little thing can matter, sometimes in unexpected ways.

Resonance matters. Big Fan of Michael Green methods of removing such. Now retired but active on FB.

It's interesting to see it show up on the meter so clearly.

I have everything on multi-layer Bright Star isolation platforms. It looks like they don't make their platforms anymore, but obviously there is a wide variety of options.

Interesting.  I will say that while I enjoyed my Bolder modded ART/DIO that I put on some heavy rocks and a partially inflated inner tube all those years ago, I have not done that with my current setup - food for thought!

I guess that’s why my Brinkmann Nyquist II DAC comes with a granite base.  I like the tubes and that I’ll be able to field swap the DAC module when one is released.
