What happened with the DVA 850?

I know things happen quickly at times at AVA but still.
I thought these amps were raved about. Did they just not sell, or?

Hello,

The DVA 850 was discontinued when we switched over to the new chassis design.  The hybrid (tube/transistor) circuit board designs of the DVA 850 didn't fit in the new chassis, and redesigning the amp boards to make it fit in the new chassis was cost prohibitive.

Best Regards,
Larry

Thanks for the info, Larry. Around the time I was getting my Vision SET 400 I remember this guy waiting on his 850. He was so psyched. I read up on it and was quite intrigued. But then shortly after, poof it was gone.

According to what I see on the website that has been replaced by the 750...

CORRECTION Sorry, I was referring the the DVA 600. That has been supplanted by the DVA M750, which is in a new, and improved chassis. Looks like the inputs and speaker connections are in a way better spot as the heatsinks have been moved from the back to the sides.

Not sure about the 600R, though I don't see a listing for it on the AVA site...

Oh this is just too good to pass up. "Is the PA on?"

Apologies to all:
