At the moment I have Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music Unlimited, and Roon (for use with BDP). I won't be renewing Amazon Music.
I think other streaming services have almost caught up to Spotify in terms of curated playlists and radio autoplay features (i.e. a 'sensible' list of songs should play after the queue ends). Spotify is still the best IMO, but the others are very serviceable now compared to a few years ago.
The issue still lies in the catalogue though. This is where Spotify is still far ahead of the others. If you listen to western mainstream music, Tidal and others are perfect. However, if you listen to asian or other international music, Tidal and Qobuz are a big miss. Surprisingly, Amazon is better than the other two at this, but no match for Spotify.
Once (if) Spotify does get their licensing/tiers figured out, they will have lossless as well.
From an audiophile/fidelity perspective, sure Spotify is not up to par. However, if you love music, Spotify still wins.
At the very least, I think Bryston should offer Spotify Connect. I know Bryston's other wireless products have had Spotify Connect for many years. I'm surprised that this is still somehow not offered on their premium devices for the decade plus they have been on the market.
